Visit Clwyd, UK

The County of Clwyd is a treasure for Wales. It remained a county from 1974 until 1996, with a county council, which was separated into six districts: Alyn and Deeside, Colwyn, Delyn, Glyndwr, Rhuddlan and Wrexham Maelor. Originally it was created in 1974 by the favor of the Local Government Act 1972 as it created a submission of the administrative counties of Flintshire and Denbighshire along with an Edeyrnion Rural District in Merionethshire.

In 1996, for regional government functions, Clwyd was split into the governing authorities of Wrexham County Borough, Denbighshire, Flintshire, and few parts of Powys and Conway. This prestigious county of Clwyd was changed to extend over the remainder of Conway, In 2003, (which used to be part of Gwynedd, previously). Since 2003, Clwyd has a glorius reputation and is considered a prestigious county. Clwyd shares its borders with the kept intact/celebrate type counties of Powys to the South, Gwynedd to the West, Cheshire to the East, Shropshire to the South East and joins Merseyside at the River Dee.

After the 2003, when boundaries were changed, its coastline has spread from the Dee Estuary in Flintshire and along to Llanfairfechan in Conway. The eastern side of this county is handsomely urbanized, espescially in areas such as Deeside, Wrexham and commuters that have settled right next to Chester. However, the East is very little urban and more rural, with Snowdonia National Park is also located in eastern region of Conway. Big and vast coastal settlements have Prestatyn and Rhylin Denbighshire and moving westwards, Colwyn Bay and Llandudno in Abergele. Areas that lie in the heart of Clwyd feature the hills and mountainous ranges like Berwyn range and Clwydian Range and the Vale of Clwyd lies in the centre-northern side which is a rich and fertile area for agricultural.

The approximate population was estimated in 2007 to be around 491,100. It is based on figures for all the four governing authorities that lie within it. The whole of the historic county of Flintshire exists in Clwyd and it contains most of Denbighshire. The former district of Aberconwy has also been included after 2003, which is located in the notable county of. Edeyrnion Rural District, Caernarfonshire which was also a part of Merionethshire.

Initially it was a barn conversion, which these days is Clwyd cottage, which is an attractive and is located within the beautiful and charming grassy lands of Llanbedr Hall. It is situated in the village called Llanbedr-Dyffryn-Clwyd which is three miles from Ruthin.

It is nestled very quietly in the slopes of Clwydian Hill ranges among an Area of Spectacular and Outstanding Natural Beauty. This freshly renovated property has a latest style throughout, while maintaining its initial features like wood flooring and exposed beams. The local region has a sparkling pub, which serves food in excellent conditions and here is a farm shop also. This unusual market town of Ruthin which has aplenty of its shops and cafes provides basic and ample amenities.

With its fantastic surroundings, Clwydian hills is too arrogant of an array of stunning scenic walks, Offa's Dyke Pathway and the off-road cycle trails Loggerheads Country Park and the Till Hill Mountain Bike Centre can be reached quite easily. Flights to Prague

Prague has been referred to as Golden Prague for centuries now and it is easy to see why, the city houses beautiful art and architecture and is a fantastic cultural gem in the heart of Europe. This city has also been home to emperors and kings, artists and astronomers and has worked its magic on millions of visitors over the years and on top of this, the beautiful and fascinating city has helped inspire many musicians and writers from Mozart to Dvo?ák and Kafka to Klíma. Prague was under communist rule for 40 years but has returned to the capitalist fold to become one of Europe's most popular tourist destinations. Prague was largely undamaged by WWII, so visitors are very lucky to still see such stunning architectural sights such as the Gothic spires and the baroque domes and also to witness the elegance of the Art Nouveau and the Cubist periods. However, don’t be put off booking your flights yet if you prefer a more modern city, as you still won’t be disappointed as there are shopping malls, designer restaurants and ultra-modern cocktail bars to keep you entertained. There are also plenty of films and music festivals, opera, ballet and drama and no matter how late is it, smoky jazz clubs, rock basements and DJs in dance clubs that are open into the small hours and after your night out, you can tale the walk home over the mist-shrouded Charles Bridge at dawn that has a calm, mystical silence about it. To get the most out of Prague, it is best to view the city at leisure, it doesn’t matter if you’re walking around the medieval lanes and hidden passages of the Old Town or strolling through the many wooded parks or even taking a leisurely cruise along the Vltava, you have to leisurely wander the city as there is so much history and culture to be discovered on your trip. Despite all of the visitors to the city over the years, the city's dark and mysterious essence is still a huge part of the city, perhaps due to its past as it has been haunted by the memories of Kafka and communism. To really get the most out of the city, it is best to risk getting lost in the city’s alleyways and lanes as this will ensure you get the truest experience of Prague that you can get. If you want to book your flights to Prague soon then the best thing to do in order to find cheap flights and good deals is to compare prices on the internet.

As well as being a beautiful and architecturally traditional city, Prague can also offer those who are after a more modern holiday a great time as well so don’t be put off booking your flights . The best thing to do is to book your flights to Prague via the internet as this is the best way to find cheap flights for your trip.

Lots to Explore on a Trip to San Jose

Museums, parks, gardens, opera, trails, shopping malls, all this and much more describe San Jose. Located 50 miles south of San Francisco, San Jose attracts millions of tourists worldwide and never leaves anyone disappointed. You can visit museums, gardens, parks, shop in the malls or in the flea market and lots of other things. Here is what all you can do in San Jose:

Museums

San Jose is home to a number of unique and interesting museums such as Museum of Quilts & Textiles. As the name suggests, this museum is solely dedicated to quilts and textiles.

Other such interesting museum is Ira F. Brilliant Center for Beethoven Studies. This museum is a delight for any Beethoven fan. This is the only institution where you can explore the largest compilation of Beethoven’s works outside Europe.

There are numerous other museums which you can explore on a San Jose tour. Some of the museums are dedicated to science and technology; some are cantered around Portuguese or Egyptian history while some are educational. Going to any of the museum in San Jose is an entertaining as well as a learning experience.

However make sure that you travel in a comfortable vehicle. If you truly want to have a rich and fulfilling experience of watching these museums, then the best way to do so is to hire a limo from a San Jose limo provider and travel in the comfort of the lavish vehicle. Hiring a limo is also a practical solution because all the museums are scattered all over the vast San Jose. Moreover finding a suitable parking in San Jose is quite a task. By having a limo at your disposal, you won’t have to worry about these issues as a limo driver is always there to handle traffic and parking hassles.

Gardens & Parks

How about spending an evening with beautiful roses all around? Check out the San Jose Municipal Rose Garden which is dedicated exclusively to roses. Spread over 5.5 acres, this gorgeous garden has more than 180 varieties of lovely roses.

In order to have a picnic with your family head to the beautiful Japanese Friendship Garden in Kelley Park in San Jose. Once there, have a picnic, enjoy the picturesque views and don’t forget to check out the koi filled ponds.

Shopping

San Jose is a paradise for any die-hard shopper. There are several high-end shopping malls such as Eastridge Center. Located in eastern San Jose, the mall features a number of shopping outlets, restaurants and even a theatre.

For a complete luxury shopping experience, you must head to the Santana Row. At this upscale mall, you can shop for all kinds of luxury products in the world all under one roof. Are you wondering how you would carry all the shopping bags back to your hotel? Well, in order to have a hassle free shopping experience it is best to hire a limo from San Jose limo rental company only which provide San Jose limo services, Napa limo services, Sonoma Valley limo services etc. Traveling in a limo would ensure that you won’t have to carry your shopping bags everywhere.

Florida Cruise Ports Take You to the Caribbean and Beyond

Taking a cruise, even the mention of it is fun and relaxing. You can take cruises all over the world; to the Mediterranean, in the Baltic Sea, you can cruise to Alaska. If you live near Florida you are particularly lucky with Key West and all over the Caribbean. We have two of the busiest cruise ports right here, Cape Canaveral and one in Ft. Lauderdale, you can also cruise from Miami.

If you've never been on a cruise I highly recommend you plan to go as soon as you can. These days cruise ship are like little, or should I say big, floating cities with decks and decks of things to do and see. The typical cruise ship has many amenities. The workout rooms, have all the bikes and weights but now days there are saunas, steamrooms and any yoga or Pilate's class you can think of. Day spas that offer massages, chemical peels and mud baths. If you prefer to shop you can find anything from touristy t-shirts and mugs to fancy boutiques that have high end fashions, name brand perfumes and fabulous jewelry, often at discounted prices, many ships have full liquor stores too and most of the time there is no tax but you have to declare what you've bought when you come through customs so keep that in mind as well.

There is so much to do when you cruise too and while relaxing at the pools is nice there are always activities going on. The Cruise Directors on most ships have things going almost 24/7; there is family fun such as bingo, the hokie pokie and maybe even charades. They have dance contests for the kids and hoolahoop contests, limbo, crafts everything you can imagine. If you have older kids some ships even have special lounges for the older kids who aren't quite old enough for the dance clubs but a little to old for hoolahooping.

When the sun goes down and it's time for Mom and Dad to have a little fun there is plenty to keep you out way past midnight. If you are planning a night of it and have younger children most ships offer babysitting services, you can check when you book. All ships offer Broadway type shows and most have Vegas type casinos with the usual Blackjack, craps, roulette wheels, slots, all kinds of poker and sometimes you can get in on a tournament like Texas Hold 'em or five card stud. Some have karaoke bars, dueling piano bars, stand up comedians or if you're not in the mood for a crowd they have just nice relaxing piano bars or cigar bars where you can meet people and talk while sipping on some wine or an after dinner cordial.

One of my favorite parts of cruising is the food. You can get anything you want at almost any time of the day or night. When I was on my cruise we were there in the casino, enjoying the slot machines, there was this wonderful person walking around serving these huge chocolate covered strawberries and it was midnight. Dinner on a cruise ship isn't just a meal it's an event. Some cruises have assigned seating and you sit with the same people for meals the whole trip but others don't so you sit wherever you want, with whomever you want and most offer an early and later seating. The Captains Dinner is normally the last or second to last night of your trip and is a formal dinner, you get dressed up and have your picture taken with the captain. Breakfast and lunch are served either buffet style or in the dinning room and all are prepared by master chefs and served by the highest most well trained servers you'll find anywhere. If you taste something you like don't hesitate to ask for seconds, most ships offer several entree selections and the desserts are spectacular. Snacks and munchies are provided all day long and depending on the day they sometimes offer special treats such as a sundae bar in the afternoons you're docked and people are coming back from shore excursions.

Speaking of shore excursions you can either decided what you want to do and make reservations when you book your cruise or wait until you dock and see what else there is to do when you go on shore in port, but don't wait too long most places require reservations and some things fill up fast. Depending on where you dock there are all sorts of opportunities to be taken advantage of everything from snorkeling and diving to zip lining and exploring caves or ruins. You can tour most places by land or water or you can visit a local museum or cathedral. Most port cities have a tourist shopping area with many souvenirs to buy and local restaurants are not to be missed. If you don't feel like going out of the town, you can walk the streets and soak up the native flavor. Be sure you check where it's safe to go, however most of the time it's not a problem. Some ship offer discounts packages on board that can be used in the port stores with 2 for 1 or coupon offers.

There are all kinds of different cruises you can book once you've chosen your destination. There are singles cruises, couples cruises; organizations such as churches and clubs often book them. You can go on a cruise for Christmas, New Years Eve or even Valentine's Day; book one for a honeymoon or graduation. There are all sorts of reasons to take a cruise just take one. When you book it you can get a room with a view or one on the hall, you can book a room for two or a suite for your whole family with not only a window but an entire balcony, this is what I recommend.

So go, have fun, take your family or make it just you and your Sweetie but once you do go on a cruise I'll bet you this, you'll want to go again.

Fantastic Phuket

Copyright (c) 2008 Writer fill

Phuket is one of Thailand's most popular destinations, and it's not hard to see why. A beautiful environment that features tropical plant life accompanies the sandy beaches and clear ocean waters. The bustling town means you're never far from food, drink, or a place to stay, and its easy to find some fantastic sights too. Once you've visited this place, you'll want to go back time and again.

Getting to Phuket isn't hard. It can be reached by car or plane. Taxis are available that can take you anywhere you like pretty cheaply. However, the drive from Bangkok to Phuket is about 8 or 9 hours given that it is almost 900 kilometers away. If this seems too much for you then it's possible to take a cheap internal flight to reach Phuket. These regular services allow travel
from Bangkok to Phuket in just one and a half hours, much better if you don't want to endure hours and hours of travel in the heat of Thailand.

Whilst Phuket airport is somewhat distant from the beaches and hotels of Phuket it is easy to find a taxi, limousine, or van outside of the airport which will take you to your destination very cheaply. Whilst many top hotels can be found along the beaches, it is also possible to experience homestay if you venture into the community areas of the city. Those who wish to stay in Phuket during the holiday season, or at festival time, are advised to book lodgings early to avoid disappointment however.

Some of the best spots in Phuket include the beautiful Paton, Karon and Kata beaches. With incredible beauty it would be a shame to miss the opportunity to visit one of these fantastic places whilst staying in Phuket. Beach activities are available, and the sea is safe to swim in. If you are feeling adventurous you can rent a surf board, and if you fancy a bit of exploring it is possible to travel from the beach by boat to several nearby islands including Phi Phi and Kai. With fantastic reefs full of a colorful assortment of fish diving is another brilliant experience you can have in this place.

The Thai nightlife is very famous, and Phuket's nightlife is no exception. With an array of fantastic bars, clubs, and restaurants you'll be busy from sunrise to sunset. Spend the day at the beach, then go out as it turns dark to sample some of the world-famous Thai cuisine full of rich flavours and bold spices. Afterwards enjoy a Singha beer or a cocktail at one of the local bars, or hit the clubs for a wild night of partying.

Another fantastic experience waiting for you in Phuket is the most famous sunset-spot in the whole of Thailand - sunset at Laem Prom THep. The sunset here is absolutely incredible, and no trip to Phuket would be truly complete without witnessing it. Finally, Phuket city is home to a number of ancient structures where you can get a taste for the history that runs through the place.

Italian Air Travel Booking Tips

The cost of flying within Italy is often comparable to the cost of train travel, although be sure to include the expense of getting to and from the airport. When flying out of Italian airports, always check with the airport or tourist agency about upcoming strikes, which are frequent in Italy and often affect air travel. The work stoppages are called by trade unions over contractual disputes, and can also ground or delay flights to and from Italy operated by several European carriers, including British Airways and Air France.

Things to Think About when booking

When you book, look for nonstop flights and remember that "direct" flights stop at least once. Try to avoid connecting flights, which require a change of plane. Two airlines may operate a connecting flight jointly, so ask whether your airline operates every segment of the trip. You may find that the carrier you prefer flies you only part of the way. Check web sites to find more booking tip, to check prices and to make online flight reservations.

When flying internationally, you must usually choose between a domestic carrier, the national flag carrier of the country you are visiting (Alitalia for Italy), and a foreign carrier from a third country. National flag carriers have the greatest number of non stops. Domestic carriers may have better connections to your hometown and serve a greater number of gateway cities. Third-party carriers may have a price advantage.

On international flights, Alitalia serves Rome, Milan, and Venice. The major international hubs in Italy are Milan and Rome, served by Continental Airlines and Delta Air Lines. American Airlines flies into just Milan. US Airways serves only Rome.

Alitalia and British Airways have direct flights from London's Heathrow and Gatwick airports to Milan and Rome. From Manchester, British Airways has daily flights to Milan and Rome. Smaller, no-frills airlines also provide service between Great Britain and Italy.

EasyJet connects Gatwick with Bologna. British Midland connects Heathrow and Milan. Ryanair, departing from London's Stansted Airport, has daily flights to Milan, Rome, Pisa, and Venice. Meridiana has two or three direct flights each week between Gatwick and Olbia on Sardinia in summer, and daily flights to Rome and Florence throughout the year. From its hub in Brussels, Virgin Express files to Milan, Catania, and Rome.

Alitalia connects Canada and Italy. Air Canada flies to Munich for connections to Rome, Florence, and Milan via Lufthansa. Qantas flies from various cities in Australia via Bangkok, arriving in Rome. Alitalia and New Zealand Air fly from Auckland to Rome with a stop in London. Another option if you're coming from Australia or New Zealand is Thai Airlines, landing in Rome via Bangkok.

When buying tickets for flights within Italy, on Alitalia and small carriers such as Meridiana and Air One shop around for the best deals. Tickets are frequently sold at discounted prices, so check the cost of flights, even one-way, as an alternative to train travel.

A St. Barts Vacation Guide

St Barths confuses you before anything else, because of the different spellings of the same name. Have you ever wondered whether St Barths, was in fact the same as St Barts, or for that matter St Barthelemy. Well in that case be reassured that all are one and one are all.

St Barthelemy is part of the French West Indies just north of the lesser Antilles near St Martin/St Maarten and St Kitts and Nevis. St Barts is a tiny island being only eight square miles in size, but like many other small things such as precious stones it is highly prized and expensive which is why it has become a retreat for the rich and famous., rock stars, pop stars, and even royalty.

This shouldn’t prevent you from going because it is a stunning tiny island with lovely white sand beaches, turquoise sea, and pristine coral reefs, and yet is very much more akin to the South of France than the Caribbean.

The reason of course for this is the fact that St Barts and France have been closely connected for centuries and until this day it is still part of the French overseas region of Guadeloupe. Oddly enough St Barths was once one of Sweden’s few overseas outposts nearly three hundred years ago, but other than the name of its red roofed capital Gustavia few reminders remain.

The main thing to do on a St Barths Vacation is to relax on the beach, and despite the minute size of the island there are more than twenty spectacular beaches. These range from the bustling St Jean and Grand Cul de sac to the more private Grand Saline, Gouvernier and Flamands. If what you are looking for is totally secluded bliss then go to Anse Colombier which can only be reached by boat or a half hour hike. You will find topless sunbathing, after all this is France in the Caribbean, so if it embarrasses you, then avoid Shell and Marechal Beaches.

The strong French connections also means that visitors would do well to be able to converse in French, and the currency is not the US dollar but the Euro. Apart from the language the most obvious sign of the French influence is in the cuisine, and it is remarkable to discover it has more than 60 gourmet restaurants. Another surprise is that many of the population is white and most residents are French Citizens.

There are considerable restrictions now imposed on hotel building, so no hotels can now be built with over 12 rooms and so the biggest hotel which is the Guanahani with 76 rooms won’t ever be seen again. There are no big chain hotels on St Barths, and many people go for the very upmarket villas.

Probably the worst thing about a St Barts Vacation is flying into a tiny runway with very little clearance on the way in, so the descent is short and pretty scary in small aircraft only, but the good side is that the pilots are specially certified, or maybe completely certified for such a landing!!

Having landed on St Barths for your vacation, you won’t feel like leaving ever again, and you won’t care how it is spelled St Barts, St Barths, or St Barthelemy!!

A Barbados Holiday In A Top Barbados Hotel

A Barbados Holiday in a Boutique Hotel that few people have heard of might be the best accommodation in Barbados for you and your partner, especially if you are looking for intimate accommodation off the beaten track

Little Arches is rated by some people as the best hotel in Barbados, and there is some justification in this claim.

It is a small, quiet, and charming boutique hotel less than two minutes walk from the beach and 10 minutes from Oistins. This is a place in Barbados which is away from the main tourist areas, and with an uncrowded beach literally across the street which is completely free of tour buses.

Little Arches is a place where the staff are famous throughout the Barbados Hotel industry for the friendly way they conduct themselves and the way they will go the extra mile for their guests. From the moment your taxi draws up after a ten minute taxi ride from the airport, and the staff literally run out to collect your bags, things actually get better if that is possible. The pampering by the staff extends to lemon scented towels to hot sticky guests on loungers by the pool. It goes even further than that because when you go to the beach, which like all beaches in Barbados is public, a member of the hotel staff will carry sunbeds down there for you. This quality of service you may not get on the Barbados holiday you are thinking of booking somewhere else. Indeed this place is a real home from home.

The restaurant Café Luna above the hotel has really excellent food, especially mango shrimp salad, but excellent as it is, do go exploring because you will miss some great restaurants and some great food. The best fish you will eat anywhere is at the Oistins Fish Fry on a Friday on a Friday. It’s an event not to be missed, something that people travel to from all over Barbados, but for guests at Little Arches it is only a stroll down the beach. By the way the best fish is to be found where the queue is longest.

As befits top accommodation in Barbados you will enjoy the most stunning views of the Caribbean from the hotel, and the rooms, and the Palm Island Room as an example has a full kitchen, and a hot tub for two on the outside deck where there is also a table, umbrella and chairs, with a King sized bed, and room for a couch and a dining table. You will be completely ruined by the flat screen TV, CD Player, high quality linens and furniture, and last but not least high quality shampoos and soaps.

The hotel has ten rooms, each unique, and the grounds are beautifully maintained It is a classic boutique hotel, and could give you the perfect Barbados holiday, because it is small, intimate, and totally relaxing, and a quality you might not expect from its situation.away from the tourist areas. Another feature is the no children policy, which adds to the peaceful tranquil atmosphere.

The perfect Barbados Holiday could be spent at Little Arches definitely a top hotel in Barbados.
